MEET THE SUCCESSORS OF THE NY DELI NEWS.
Danielle & Larry Bergstein were both born and raised in New York, where they met more than 20 years ago. Today, they live happily in the Denver-Metro area with their 2 children. Together, they make a great team and are a natural fit as the successors of the NY Deli News.
Larry, who oversees the day-to-day operations, grew up in the restaurant business. He has worked for both privately-owned and large Corporately-owned restaurants. His formal culinary training at CIA, along with nearly 30 years of experience has given him invaluable skills to take over an already successful restaurant and bring it to the next level.
From the early start of his career in the restaurant business, Larry went from slicing lox at a local Long Island deli, to cooking at the infamous Russian Tea Room, to eventually serving as the Executive Chef at The Capital Grille, to now owning this iconic New York Style deli in Denver. Throughout his career, he has consistently focused on maintaining excellent health-code ratings, and understands the value that food has on creating traditions and bringing back memories. He realizes the importance of ensuring outstanding customer experiences, providing high quality food, and creating great-tasting, traditional menu items.
Danielle, while pursuing her own career outside of the restaurant, manages the restaurant’s marketing. Her background consists of overseeing the marketing and communication efforts in both corporate and non-profit environments, including for the local Jewish Community. She holds a BS in Business from CU Denver, an MA in Communication from Johns Hopkins University, and is currently obtaining a Marketing Strategy Certification from Cornell’s Graduate School of Management.
